Muslims in Sierra Leone mourns the death of a great Islamic Personality-Sheik Ahmad Barrie.
Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Rajioon.
Sheikh Ahmad Barrie, a very true humanitarian whose works and efforts in the national and Islamic developments of Sierra Leone which even led him to win the Lifetime Achievement Award awarded by the Youths in Action for the Development of Islam has passed away this morning at the Choithram Hospital, Freetown.
He served as:
1. National Chairman of IDEMSIL Mission.
2. Registrar of Muslim Marriages & Divorce.
3. Western Rural District Coordinator for ISLAG / Focus1000.
4. Coordinator for Saudi Arabia Hajj Programme.
5. Commissioner for Oaths.
Janaza will be observed at Ansar Islamic College Masjid @ Kissy Dock Yard, back of St. Helena School @4:00pm.
We are calling on all Muslims to remember this good man in our duahs and to join us for his janazah and burial.
It is indeed a Sad news for Sierra Leone and may Allah grant him the highest abode in Jannah, Ameen.
