HAJJ UPDATE:
Sierra Leone Islamic Web was invited today to witness the medical screening of this year’s intending pilgrims.
According to Hajj officials, the screening began on the 6th of May and is expected to conclude around the 16th of May.
Each day, the Hajj medical team is screening 100 pilgrims, and so far, everything is proceeding smoothly.
When asked about the issue of Mpox, the medical officials stated that no cases have been reported so far. They are also advising intending pilgrims to minimize handshakes, skin contact, and to practice distancing.
They also expressed hope that if the Mpox vaccine arrives in time, all pilgrims will be vaccinated before departing for the Holy Land, In Shaa Allah.
