500 Muslim scholars and representatives
500 Muslim scholars and representatives from the Muslim world gathered in Istanbul from August 22-29 for the “Islamic and Humanitarian Responsibility: Gaza” conference.
One of the main outcomes was the “Istanbul Declaration’” which legitimised the Palestinians’ right to resist.
“We are absolutely against the weaponisation of resistance. We reject all efforts to give up resistance, which is the legitimate right of the Palestinian people,” it said.
