Sheikh Ibrahim Imam Kargbo, Chief Imam of Masjid Na’im at Kissy Brook, has passed away last night at the Emergency Hospital, Goderich, Freetown.
The vehicle carrying him was involved in a road accident one and a half miles from Port Loko town whilst they were returning from a trip to his hometown around Lungi.
The vehicle skidded off the road and somersaulted twice before landing. They were all rushed to the Port Loko Government Hospital and later to the Emergency Hospital, where he eventually passed away at 9:00pm.
He was well known for his expertise in the Arabic language, memorised lot of arabic poems and books. He was a member of the Council of Imams and multiple Islamic educational institutions.
May Allah forgive his sins and grant him Jannah, Ameen ya Rabb.
