San Diego Horror: Teen Terrorists Kill Three at Mosque, Including Hero Guard
Before Shooting Themselves
Two teenage terrorists shot and killed three men outside the Islamic Center of San Diego on Monday morning before dying of self-inflicted gunshot wounds blocks away, police said. The assault, now presumed a hate crime, unfolded as officers were searching for a possibly suicidal teen who fled home with his mother’s guns and car.

San Diego Police Chief Scott Wahl confirmed the victims included a mosque security guard and father-of-eight whose actions were “heroic” and “undoubtedly saved lives.” The teens — aged 17 and 18 — also fired at a landscaper nearby before they were found dead in a vehicle. A note left by one suspect contained “generalized hate rhetoric” but no specific threat to the mosque.

The attack came days before Eid al-Adha as children attended classes at the center’s Al Rashid School. Imam Taha Hassane called it “outrageous to target a place of worship,” while Governor Gavin Newsom said California “will not tolerate acts of terror or intimidation against communities of faith.”
