The 46-year-old Israeli rabbi and military reservist committed suicide in Kiryat Malakhi after reportedly struggling with psychological trauma following his service in Gaza.
Barsheshet, a father and religious reservist, took part in Israel’s military operations in Gaza and became complicit in the murder of innocent people.
His funeral was held on Saturday evening after Shabbat at the town’s cemetery, attended by relatives, friends and acquaintances.
